Dad helped to design one of their first homes in Cary, NC in 1972. Unfortunately it went over budget as most first homes do so they needed to sell it and moved to an apartment complex until they found the Bradley Place home.

Dad and mom put a pool in the backyard of Bradley Place home when I was about 5 or 6 years old. It had a deep end with a diving board and was great fun. I don't remember Dad swimming very much but I do remember him cleaning the pool and having a smoke.

Dad liked to start with Big Ideas..

Dad and mom had big ideas for this floor ranch on Bradley Place. He was able to relocate two bedrooms to the basement which he finished , provided a playroom, an upstair new master suite, added a nice entry and stair, converted the garage into a dining room, and put a nice pool in the backyard. Why start with just a little bit of renvoating when you can go all the way? It was quite the transformation although we like to tease dad as it wasn't  finished until we relocated to CT.

Dad just couldn't resist, and so Gaye and he have taken on the task of building this new home in Charlotte, NC.  We can't wait to see it finished!

8 Spruce St.-Riverside,CT and then

we moved to 22 Mark's Rd.

The Flying Jib house on Lake Norman

was one of the first homes that was finished and required no WORK.

Dad passed on the construction gene to both Jeff and I. Here he is helping Jeff put up his kitchen addition on Jeff's first home.

This space is reserved for Dad's

mountain house when I find a picture. It's been his project for the past couple of years now but is almost completed-go DAD!
