The seventies brought marriage, children, houses, and long hours at the office. As most of you know Barry and Barbara had the most wonderful children in 1967 and 1979. Jeffery Wilson Eveland and me-Cheryl Anne Eveland.

 

Dad often had to balance family,career, and house projects. He spent Saturday mornings playing soccer coach/dad for Jeff or I. After relocating to CT he started the Old Greenwich Soccer club to offer soccer opportunites where none had existed. We would go down to Binney Park and set up the goals and watch all the children play. 

 

Each summer I remember Dad and mom packing up the car for the long trip to visit Dad's family in PA. We had the "Shroyer" reunion each summer and then would stay to visit with Betty. He would love to visit with his many cousins and extended family.
